FAKRO on the Roof of America

FAKRO, whose products reach well beyond Europe, supported a travel project FAKRO on the Roof of America carried out in June this year by Paweł Rochowicz – economic journalist of Rzeczpospolita, which is a Polish national daily newspaper.

A journalist together with a group of friends took a several-month training before an expedition to Denali (also known as Mount McKinley), which is the highest mountain peak in North America, with a summit elevation of 6,190 metres above sea level. FAKRO supported the realization of this travel dream. This is not for the first time that the company is committed to facilitating the development of its employees and partners' passions as well as promoting physical activity.

“The expedition lasted 18 days. After reaching the base camp at an altitude of 4,300 m above seal level and spending there one week, a group of mountaineers moved on further when the weather window opened – it stopped snowing and the hurricane wind died down. We were lucky as we reached the summit in windless conditions and with the sun shining. The final summit attack took 14 hours. Although it was an exhausting experience, we did it!”, said Paweł Rochowicz.

Since 2003, FAKRO roof windows cover American roofs. It was then that FAKRO America LLC was established and now is developing rapidly. “We increased employment and purchased a new warehouse with office space. What is more, the company actively participates in trade fairs for installers, architects and cooperates with the largest distributors of building materials. We continuously develop our offer with new products such as flat roof windows or external shutters for vertical windows”, commented Rafał Rynduch, Supervisor for USA and Canada Market.

The aim of FAKRO for the coming years is to increase share in the global market. “I do hope that during the next 25 years of existence your company will reach many business summits”, wishes to the company Paweł Rochowicz who together with FAKRO stood on the highest mountain of North America.
