FAKRO innovations at MADE Expo 2017
FAKRO which is the second largest manufacturer of roof windows and loft ladders worldwide presented its innovative products during MADE Expo 2017. The most popular international architecture and building construction show in Italy was held from 8 to 11 March at Milano Rho Fiera.
FAKRO displayed its top solutions on the total exhibition area of 120 m². One of the leading themes of FAKRO stand were flat roof windows. The entire range of these products was shown, including the DEF electric window acknowledged with Red Dot Design Award 2016 – one of the most prestigious awards in the field of design. FAKRO presented the DEF in a special version equipped with graphite glazing unit dedicated to countries with hot climate. The greatest interest of the visitors was attracted by the DXW flat roof window which allows the user to walk across its surface. Moreover, to prove the safety of the DXW, visitors could watch a bike performance held at FAKRO stand.
FAKRO puts all efforts to satisfy the changing needs of the market by creating easily controlled products. Visitors of the stand could control the electric PTP-V roof windows in Z-Wave protocol and Bluetooth. When operating the PTP-V Z-Wave window a distance does not matter, and this quality is very useful for the most demanding customers. Additionally, the electric window is equipped with the rain sensor.
Moreover, the trade fair was very important to FAKRO for another reason. This is the place where vertical windows known under the INNOVIEW brand had their premiere in the Italian market. Additionally, vertical windows were equipped with the VMB Solar awning blind which offers up to 8 times more effective protection than internal blinds and can reduce the internal temperature by as much as 10°C. Visitors were very impressed by the lift & slide door HST with huge glazed area, which sets new trends in the construction industry.
Top hung and pivot window FPP-V preSelect2, which allows to open the sash up to an angle of 45°had its debut on the Italian market during the show. Naturally, the stand also featured innovative FGH-V Galeria roof window whose sashes when opened create a functional balcony.
Finally, FAKRO stand showed other innovative solutions such as the FWP insulated access roof light and the LWT Passive House loft ladder.

An exciting display of freestyle enlivened FAKRO stand during the MADE Expo trade fair. Brave bicyclists performed breathtaking acrobatics on the exhibition space of our company. A simple spectacle to entertain visitors? Not at all! By combining entertainment and communication, FAKRO has proved the robustness and safety of the DXW flat roof window. Lively performance with captivating acrobatic leaps took place in a 150cm high cube. Eight performances a day met with great success, demonstrating to the visitors the unequalled resistance of the robust and exclusive FAKRO fittings.
