FAKRO, the vice-leader in the global market of roof windows and loft ladders once again took up the role of the Headline sponsor of the Builders Merchants Federation’s (BMF) All-Industry Conference 2017. The event took place in Budapest, on 15th to 18th June 2017. For the first time since 2003, the conference returned to a city location, and was held at the five star Intercontinental Hotel in Budapest.
The BMF represents 578 merchant and supplier companies, 117,000 employees, and around 4,580 UK branches, the annual conference provides an educational programme designed to tackle the current issues within the industry.
The theme of this year conference was “Change, Challenge and Opportunity”, and the host for the event was broadcaster and TV personality Gethin Jones along with various other keynote speakers such as the former Liberal Democrats party leader Paddy Ashdown, and Adrian Dobson from the Royal Institute of British Architects.
The conference was set to feature an extensive programme of events and social activities, and also featured a stand from FAKRO showcasing their latest products, designs and manufacturing techniques. FAKRO presented a new wooden and aluminum vertical windows and HST doors, known under the INNOVIEW brand. Moreover the new top hung and pivot window FPP-V preSelect2 which allows to open the sash up to an angle of 45°.
Noel Shanahan, Managing Director at FAKRO GB heaped praise on the event saying: “The decision to locate the conference in Budapest was a bold move but certainly paid off.
