BAU 2017 Trade Fair which is one of the largest events of the construction industry held in Europe started on 16 January 2017 in Munich. The surface of 185 000 m2 gathered over 2000 exhibitors who presented their latest solutions. Each edition attracts more than 250 000 visitors from over 150 countries who are looking for innovative products, ideas and concepts.
FAKRO which is the second largest manufacturer of roof windows and loft ladders worldwide is taking part in this important event since many years. This edition's exhibition stand spread over the area of 150m2 and presented company's latest roof windows, flat roof windows, loft ladders and the whole range of accessories. Innovations include a new FPP-V preSelect2 top hung and pivot window which thanks to applied solutions allows to open the sash up to an angle of 45°. What is more, it can be manufactured in large sizes such as 134x160cm, even with a double-chamber glazing unit. FAKRO stand naturally demonstrated the DEF DU6 flat roof window acknowledged with Red Dot Design Award – one of the most prestigious awards in the field of design.
FAKRO stand offers a unique event aimed at showing resistance of the DXW flat roof window. With special design features such as enhanced load-bearing capacity and a lasting, non-slip coating allows the user to walk across its surface freely. To prove its extraordinary characteristics, a bicyclist not only rides across the DXW window, but also does acrobatics and jumps onto its surface.
BAU 2017 Trade Fair is very important to FAKRO also for another reason. This is the place where vertical windows had their premiere in the German market. These windows are a remarkable combination of the highest quality wood and aluminium profiles which are characterized by unique features. “Large sizes, safety, aesthetics and ease of operation of INNOWIEV windows provide ultimate comfort for the users”, commented Sławomir Gawlik, FAKRO Group Marketing Director.
