FAKRO at Batibouw 2018 - comfort at your fingertips
Together with its partner Albintra, FAKRO presented top products at one of the biggest trade shows held in Belgium and Luxembourg – Batibouw from 22.02 to 04.03 in Brussels. FAKRO, the world's second largest manufacturer of roof windows and loft ladders demonstrated its solutions during 11 days of the trade show on its stand occupying the surface of 240m² stand. This year's edition of the event attracted nearly 300 000 visitors.
"Comfort at your fingertips" was the slogan of FAKRO's presence. The company presented a wide range of its products, including innovative solutions for flat and steep roofs which meet stringent design and comfort requirements.
The new preSelect2 top hung and pivot window was presented for the first time in the Benelux market. Guests visiting the stand could learn about the advantages of this roof window equipped with two independent opening mechanisms as the sash can be opened outwards from the top and via centre pivot. The sash in the preSelect² window is opened up to an angle of 45° which is nearly 30% compared to the preceding model. Unique design and applied hardware system make it possible to produce large-sized windows such as 134x160cm featuring impressive surface of 1,63m². This allows for better use of an additional space created in the attic and provides unrestricted view.
Moreover, in accordance with current architectural trends featuring large glazed areas, FAKRO presented the FGH-V Galeria balcony window and the FYP-V proSky. The glazing effect was extraordinary.
Visitors were deeply interested in the entire range of flat roof windows and their innovative designs. Guests were enthusiastic about the DEF electric flat roof window featuring modern design which was acknowledged with the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2016. FAKRO also presented the type C flat roof windows (DEC-M) with a dome. The great interest of the visitors was focused on the DXW flat roof window which allows the user to walk across its surface. The walkable DXW DW6 flat roof window won the bronze Architects' Darling Awards 2017 in the category “Best product-innovation in the category of building-shell”.
Naturally, the FAKRO stand demonstrated energy-efficient solutions, such as FFT U6 roof window with double chamber glazing unit and the LWT Passive House loft ladder.
FAKRO also presented a wide range of external and internal accessories designed both for roof and flat roof windows.
